I am so there for this!

Most everyone knows I am a sucker for the disaster flick. This one is from the same director of The Day After Tomorrow. I am so going to see this movie. As with The Day After Tomorrow, I had to go see it by myself, as Mrs. BA passed. Anyone want to come with? The movie opens November 13.

At least other disaster (future oriented) flicks gave you more time to prepare.

Honestly, this looks like the stupidest movie ever made. I am pretty sure the dude said that to me when we were watching the ad on tv. And the CGI looks like I did it.

Was it Deep Impact? Can't remember - anyway, I remember one disaster movie where all the trailers showed the massive tidal wave destroying the East Coast of America. But of course that sequence takes up only 2 minutes of the movie and is towards the end of it. So the entire movie was spent sitting waiting for them to get to the exciting bit from the trailer.

My spouse would probably go with you. This looks right up his alley.

I am also a sucker for the disaster movies. Poseidon Adventure and Towering Inferno, anyone? Favorites from my childhood, and each seen MANY times. Safe to say my better half would just roll her eyes at the very thought of this movie.

PCW - then again, the real classics, Earthquake, Towering Inferno, and their ilk, the disaster was in the surprise.

Anna - yes, but even so, it needs to be seen on the big screen!

Kim - As I respond to these collected comments, I am watching Armageddon, another of the great disaster movies.

C - as discussed, let's make a plan

J - get in on the plan, come down for the weekend and we'll make a big guys only outing on it.
