Indian Pudding
- 6 Tbsp cornmeal
- 6 cups scalded milk
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 pound Butter
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1-1/2 teaspoon grated Lemon rind
- 1 teaspoon fresh Ginger
- 1/2 pound Raisins
- 6 Eggs, beaten whole
Decoration: orange wedges glazed with honey
Decorate the top of with orange sections that have been glazed with honey. Serve with cream or vanilla ice cream. Recipe from The First Ladies Cook Book (1966)

Indian pudding is one of my favorite desserts, but it should never have raisins in it. And WTF with the oranges? This is cornmeal mush! The only real accompaniment is vanilla ice cream.
May give this a try, reads interesting mush!
