But just so you know, there is no problem with obesity in America. Oh no. Not here. And I am not posting the recipes for these items. I refuse to be a party to murder. But, that said, where can I get these things that appeared in my Google Reader?
- The Bacon Maple Doughnut found at Voodoo Doughnuts in Portland, Oregon (this conjures up memories of another doughnut that requires EMT's standing by to eat it)
- The Quad Stack from Hungry Jacks in Australia
- Chocolate-covered bacon from the Lower East side in NYC

I realized on a road trip to Tennesee some years ago that Fritos go REALLY well with M&Ms. Sounds gross, but noooOOOooo! (Might be too much info, but it's great PMS food, too. You get your choco AND you get your salt!)
When I was a kid, I used to like dipping McD's fries into their choco shakes--a similar combo (& equally delish, although I haven't eaten McD's in at least 15 years now.)
Just the names of these things, and I feel my blood thickening!
Not one for mixing the sweet and salty, the chocolate covered bacon would probably not be my thing.
I'm curious, though, about the doughnuts. If I'm reading you correctly, the reason the EMT's are there is to eat the doughnuts themselves, apparently standing by until the person who started eating them goes in cardiac arrest. Do these EMT's fancy themselves police officers, better known for their doughnut leanings?
Lana - I have no problem with the sweet and salty combo at times.
Paw - hence the title of the post and the need to have paramedics standing by.
J - I was referring to a donut that can be procured locally that is so crushingly sweet (it involves a peanut butter creme filling and chocolate icing) that it should not be served without instantaneous access to medical personnel. Put another way, even I couldn't eat one . . . and that's saying something.
