For My Simpsons Fans Out There

I am not a fan of the show personally, but this was too wild to not share. From limpfish.com via kottke.org.
This portrait of Homer Simpson painted in the style of Rembrandt is strangely mesmerizing. Can't look away from those giant eyes.
As I have said many times before, Kottke.org is worth a visit or get the RSS feed. And limpfish.com is very amusing as well.

Whaa?

How can you not like The Simpsons?!

Is this a "I've never liked the show" situation, or a "It's gone downhill; only losers like the show now" deal?

I wish I still had my Simpsons-themed two-pocket folders purchased at Spencer's Gifts in 1990: Bart exhorting the reader to eat his garments; Bart cautioning an unidentified male against giving birth to bovines; Bart writing wacky things on a chalkboard.

My mom recently gave me back two of my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles folders from 1991 that she unearthed somewhere in the house. Maybe she still has my Simpsons ones, too, and is saving those for my birthday.

Or maybe I'm just weird.

(Let's not all chime in at once.)

The Simpsons rock. Unfortunately I can't check those links out right now...The filter at our library says they're pornography! *L*

That is almost a scary picture... I especially liked the cookie on the side. ;-)

It's not a dislike as much as I never got into it. But I will watch it on occasion.
