And now we return you to your regularly scheduled blog

I had said all along the Rangers-Sabres series would only go six games. I just had the wrong team on the winning side. The Rangers went down to defeat to the Buffalo Sabres today at Madison Square Garden, losing the series 4 games to 2. Buffalo advances to the Eastern Conference Finals, where they will face off against the Ottawa Senators. The Senators dispatched the Devils in five games, finishing off the Devils yesterday.

There is but one series left to be determined. The Red Wings cruised to victory yesterday and lead their series against the San Jose Sharks 3-2. The winner of that series will face off against the Anaheim Ducks.

In conclusion, while I might report briefly on the conclusion of the "Quest for the Cup," please be advised I no longer am interested in the outcome. Except to say, NO Ducks. My money (and hopes) is on a Senators-Red Wings final.

Since my co-worker's husband is a Wings fan and constantly greets me with "The Dominator!"....

GO SHARKS

And better luck next year. Unless the Canes are back in it.

Sorry, my friend. But think how much calmer you will be for the next few--weeks is it? You've reached a zen-like state of non-attachment.

Hope the wings were tasty!

Aw, c'mon, it's obviously time to be a Sabre-rattler!
