A Tough Quiz
This one comes from one of my blogging friends up north in Canada. She posted it on her blog and made us all look stupid in a big hurry. Here's the questions and the answers will follow, as always, next week.

I like to think I'm a smartie, but these are a little tough.
1. ?
2. Niagara Falls
3. Melons & Strawberries?
4. Strawberries
5. The little baby pear is grown inside?
6. dwell, dwindle, ?
7. period, question mark, comma, semi-colon, colon, exclamation mark, quotation mark,
8. ?
9. shoes, socks, sandals, slippers, skis,
10. ?
I only know the word ones:
#4 strawberry
%5 it's grown on the inside--they do this in Slovenia. But the dude wouldn't buy it.
#6 dwell, dwindle, dwarf, (dweeb and Dweezil Zappa). Interestingly, my word verification for this post is dwoink, which certainly should be a word. I think it's the sound that is made when the football bounces off a goalpost and back onto the field.
#7 period, comma, question mark, exclamation point, hyphen, dash, colon, semicolon, quotation mark, apostrophe, ellipses, parenthesis, brackets, slash (too easy, it's my job)
#9 socks, shoes, sneakers, slippers, slides, slingbacks, sandals, snowshoes, ski boots, swim socks, stilettos, skates.
Will have to wait to see what the answers are, but Special K and I believe we answered 1, 3 (half of that answer for sure, but maybe both), 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 correct.
I think I knew all the punctuation marks, but that's about it. Kind of makes up for the 69 percent you scored on the Abe Lincoln quiz I blogged about yesterday. I'm still laughing about that. (Being in a hurry is no excuse!) As for MARAC, we'll see....
Just the ones that I haven't seen answered.
3 - asparagus and rhubarb
5 - the bottle is slipped over the pear while it's still small enough
8 - lettuce (although the "processed" part isn't technically true any more)
9 - I'll add snowshoes.
10 - left is stewardesses
1. Dog shows?
2. Niagara Falls (of course!)
3. Is a pumpkin a vegetable?
4. Strawberry
5. There's some physics property behind this, I'm sure. Sounds familiar...
6. Dwarf, dwell (& variants,) dwindle, dwamish, dwale.
7. Period, comma, exclamation point, question mark, colon, semi-colon, quotation marks, apostrophe?
8. Lettuce? No...they sell those salad kits, don't they. Jeeze, this is a toughy!
9. Shoes, socks, sandals, stilletos, stockings, knee-high stockings? *LOL*
10. Stewardesses (for the left. No clue on the right.)
